The Solution To This Crisis Is Inevitable

Now, even the conventional idiots will know that such situations cannot last long. The state is in crisis, the government is as well. An SHO will have more authority in its own police station than the Prime Minister in his own jurisdiction. The ministers are getting cases registered against the country. It is a heartily desire of the former Prime that the national crisis should be more profound so that he can claim that, nothing is possible without him. Accountability courts are slower then turtle.

We talk a lot about a revolution even when Mian Nawaz Sharif shouts slogans of revolution in eloquence. Most Pakistanis will not know much about the French and Russian Revolution. We should learn something from the Iranian Revolution. After the revolution, when the courts started working, if the proceedings had begun in the morning then by evening the decision use to be announced and the execution would have taken place overnight in the jail. It seems that the purpose of our rules is to cause delay in proceedings. Justice never comes and on top of it, the leaders who are among the most corrupt rulers in the world, do not get tired of giving speeches about the democracy and the rule of law. If the Panama Papers had been disclosed elsewhere, justice must have been served by now. It’s been a year and a half here, there have been inquiries and decisions too, but the criminals standing in the courts ask “Why I was fired?”.

If nothing else, the more than 1000 police personnel guarding the Jati Umrah would have been removed. Instead, indiscriminate use of government resources still continues by the incompetent Prime Minister. Punjab House Islamabad seems to be in permanent occupation. It is also a spectacle that they have their own puppet prime minister and the government in Punjab which they are using to challenge the state institutions. The PML-N itself is divided into two point of views. The Chief Minister and his allies want to avoid the creation of conflicting situations. However, the people around Nawaz Sharif wants to make this existing conflicting situation even worse. Not only do they want confrontation, but beyond that, their words suggest that their wishes will be cooler when there is more chaos in the domestic situation.

This situation cannot last long. No country can afford weakness and confusion. Our problems are of different nature. There is no room for the confused rule. Immediate elections are the only solution to this situation. But who will get that done? The puppet prime minister is not in a position to make this decision on his own and it is not in the interest of Nawaz Sharif to dissolve the National Assembly and hold new elections. He seem to be in favour of aggravating the crisis.

Someone has to take this step. After the Russian revolution of 1917, when the first meeting of the Russian Constituent Assembly was held, Lenin did not want that assembly to continue further. He was not convinced of meaningless speeches. The power had fallen into his hands and instead of hollow debates, he wanted to exercise his power. By the evening, the defenders around the assembly sent a message to the speaker that they were tired and wanted to close the assembly doors. The members came out and the Constituent Assembly disappeared into the darkness of history. Speaking in the National Assembly, the other day, former Prime Minister Zafarullah Jamali said that he wishes that the death of the current useless assemblies comes before his death, he is very ill these days. When he said this, there was a silence in the hall.

The only solution to the current crisis is to convince the puppet prime minister in the darkness of night rather than daylight that the dissolution of the National Assembly is necessary in the interest of the country. He must be explained in such a way that he cannot avoid the depth of the issue and follow what is said in the morning. The National Assembly gets dissolved and the interim government come into being. The next day, as a second step, the four chief ministers should be advised to dissolve their own assemblies. This advice can be better provided by the relevant Core Commanders. The main problem will be that of Punjab, but it can be expected that when the new corps commander of Lahore, Lieutenant General Aamir Riaz, puts the requirements of national interest before the Chief Minister, he will not be able to ignore it.

The Chief Minister Balochistan gives great importance to military advice. Imran Khan’s demand is also towards new elections. Therefore, decision-making should not be a problem in Peshawar. Asif Ali Zardari is a pragmatic man and understands the direction of the wind. Once made a mistake while pointing to the army, said that they would destroy them. But he never repeated such a mistake. So, it can be speculated that he will not take long to understand the requirements of the national interest or may be he has learnt from the past mistake.

However, it is imperative that the interim prime minister is not a dummy like Khaqan Abbasi. He must have the courage to exercise his authority. Who is able to subdue all the parts the government and do not hesitate to take decisive action in the interim in order to hold free and fair elections. If this happens, the paralyzed government machinery will be taken aback and the transitional government may be remembered in the history of Pakistan till the elections.

Fortunately, President Mamnoon Hussain can be expected not only to accept all these steps but also to provide the new setup with valuable suggestions. He has already achieved the status of “Peer e Kamil” in several constituencies. When most of the nation was unaware of the importance of the Panama Papers, he predicted that the wrath had come down from the hell and big people would fall into it. These are destiny’s decisions. Who could have thought that he would be the President Pakistan, and who could say that there was no more day of his rise?

Enough legal and constitutional debates have been done. The time has come to take actions, not just to read Iqbal’s poetry but to practice it. Of course everything has to be done while remaining within the boundaries specified by the constitution and it is possible.
